NSW: Car accident in state's north leaves one dead, one injured

One man is dead and another injured after a car accident in northern New South Wales tonight.

It's not clear if the accident happened in the paddock where the men were found or
on the nearby road.

Police say they were called to a paddock near Wiangaree Railway Crossing near Kyogle,
north-west of Lismore, at about 7pm (AEST).

Police say the alarm was raised by a man travelling in the vehicle, who managed to
make it to a nearby house for help.

The man's friend died at the scene shortly after police arrived.
