Vic: House gutted by fire in suspicious blaze

MELBOURNE, Aug 17 AAP - Authorities are treating a fire that gutted a house in Melbourne's
western suburbs overnight as suspicious.

Police say a passer-by alerted firefighters to the blaze in Mayne Street, Sunshine
West, at about 2am (AEST).

The fire was contained to the property which was unoccupied.
